Job Requirements

  • food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum of 3 years of closely related cooking experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment
  • food knowledge pertaining to sauces soups saute broiler fry and pantry
  • ability to speak read and comprehend instructions short correspondence and policy documents
  • ability to converse comfortably with individuals
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend twist and stand to perform normal job functions
  • frequent immersion of hands in water and chemical solutions
  • frequent use of sharp knives utensils and hot plates
  • frequent work in hot environment
  • supervisor or lead experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum of 3 years of closely related cooking experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment
  • food knowledge pertaining to sauces soups saute broiler fry and pantry
  • cooking ability in multiple stations including fry flat top griddle pantry and egg cooking
  • effective communication skills for interacting with management and serving staff
  • physical ability to stand for long periods lift up to 40 pounds bend and twist
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen environment
  • preferably supervisory or lead experience

Job Duties

  • follow recipes and product directions for preparing seasoning cooking tasting carving and serving food items which may include soups meats vegetables desserts and other food and beverage products
  • taste products follow menus estimate food requirements check production and keep records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment as needed
  • clean and sanitize work stations and equipment
  • practice excellent food safety and sanitation practices and comply with HACCP standards
  • operate a variety of kitchen equipment
  • measure and mix ingredients wash peel cut and shred fruits and vegetables
  • stock date rotate and check temperature of products
