The position available is for a Cook, a role that not only requires cooking skills but also creativity and passion for food. The Cook will be actively involved in bringing recipes to life, experimenting with various cuisines, flavors, and cooking styles using fresh ingredients and professional-grade kitchen equipment. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math skills
  • good communication skills
  • physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
  • willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
  • legal authorization to work in the location

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  • bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
