The Cook position at Aramark offers a dynamic and creative role within its culinary team. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for cooking and food preparation who wants to work with fresh ingredients and top-quality equipment. As a cook, you will flex your culinary creativity by preparing a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and production guidelines designed to ensure quality and food safety. The role involves a wide range of food preparation activities including measuring, weighing, chopping, peeling, and mixing ingredients, as well as setting up your workstation with all necessary tools and ingredients. In addition to cooking, this position requires attention to food safety policies including proper storage, sanitation, and accurate adherence to safety standards established by Aramark. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace by regularly cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils is essential in this role. Job Requirements
- experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
