Annually, Quail Run serves over 10,000 patients, delivering compassionate health care through a team of dedicated professionals committed to exemplary patient care and personal excellence. As a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), a leading provider within the healthcare sector, Quail Run Hospital benefits from extensive resources and career development opportunities, contributing to a supportive and challenging work environment.
We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our dynamic team. This role involves the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals to both patients and facility staff, strictly adhering to approved menu cycles, recipes, and production sheets. The Cook will play a vital role in ensuring that nutritious and appealing meals are delivered while complying with dietary modifications and sanitation standards. This position offers a varied schedule and the possibility of overtime and flexible hours, with a competitive compensation package and a generous benefits program, including excellent medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans.
The Cook position at Quail Run Hospital is more than just a culinary role; it is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the patient care process by supporting health and wellness through thoughtfully prepared meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Candidates will enjoy career development pathways within UHS and its extensive network of over 300 subsidiaries, including tuition savings opportunities through Chamberlain University, which supports continuing education. Working in our hospital kitchen requires efficiency, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, particularly as this role intersects with strict clinical and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation of experience in quantity cooking, knowledge of modified diets, and food service sanitation, with a food handler's permit and familiarity with industrial kitchen equipment being essential.
At Quail Run Hospital, we foster an inclusive work culture that values diversity and equal opportunity. UHS subsidiaries are dedicated to mutual respect and the equitable treatment of all employees, promoting a workplace where every team member can thrive and embody the organization’s core values. As part of our recruitment process, we emphasize transparency and security, assuring candidates that no financial or personal information is requested via email and providing clear channels for reporting suspicious activity. Join us and become a valuable contributor to a caring and supportive medical community that prioritizes both patient well-being and employee satisfaction.
