Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to obtain CA Food Handlers Certification
- Willing to work variable hours according to event schedule
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years of cooking and food prep experience in the foodservice industry preferably in premium services, catering, or concessions
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
- Strong commitment to high-level customer and client service
- Customer service oriented with ability to interact at all management levels
- Flexibility to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- High attention to detail and organization
Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times
- Timely execution of station requirements to specification of Executive Culinary Team
- Follow recipes and cook them to desired specifications
- Demonstrate intermediate knife skills and classic vegetable cuts
- Set up and function of buffet carving/action stations
- Perform entry-level meat butchery, fish butchery, protein carving, and proper portioning
- Create classic sauces, soups, and stocks with minimal supervision
- Produce cold foods including guacamole, salads, dressings, sandwiches, and dips
- Prepare hot foods such as reheating, smoking, roasting, grilling, and braising proteins
- Work multiple stations in a fast-paced a la carte restaurant service
- Interpret production sheets and event orders with minimal supervision
- Expedite events or service in absence of supervisors
- Collaborate with purchasing/warehouse for daily ordering
- Maintain and abide by County Health/Sanitation and Legends Global standards
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain positive guest relations and serve highest quality products
- Ensure proper operational condition and cleanliness of equipment
- Rotate to other service locations as needed
- Perform other related duties assigned by management
