The role of Cook at Head Start of Greater Dallas is a vital position designed to work closely with the Nutrition Content Area team to prepare nutritious, visually appealing, and tasty meals for children and staff. This position plays an essential part in ensuring the health and safety of the meals served by adhering to strict food preparation and storage guidelines compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will bring experience in food service, an understanding of nutrition principles, and a keen focus on sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen and food service areas. This job requires maintaining detailed and accurate records related to food preparation and storage, facilitating smooth operations in meal service, and supporting the goal of promoting healthy eating habits among young children.

Candidates with a High School Diploma or GED and 2 to 6 months of food service experience are encouraged to apply.
