The company is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality in both product offerings and services, consistently refining culinary classics, exploring new gastronomic dimensions, and pushing the boundaries of innovation to exceed expectations. With a strong dedication to hospitality, DO & CO provides elevated dining experiences both on the ground and in the sky, making it a leader in luxury gourmet entertainment worldwide.
We are currently seeking a dynamic Asian Cuisine Cook at our Redondo Beach, CA location. This role offers an exciting opportunity to bring bold Asian flavors to life and shape the next wave of culinary innovation within a prestigious international catering company. The Asian Cuisine Cook will be responsible for preparing and presenting authentic Asian dishes that reflect freshness, balance, and innovation. Responsibilities include managing daily prep lists to ensure smooth kitchen operation, cooking and plating breakfast items according to DO & CO's quality and presentation standards, monitoring and maintaining inventory of dry goods and protein to avoid shortages and discrepancies, and contributing creative ideas to menu development that resonate with current catering and global culinary trends. The role requires meticulous attention to product freshness, quality standards, and timely production processes.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of culinary experience in high-volume, full-service kitchens with demonstrated expertise in key Asian cuisines such as Chinese (Cantonese, Sichuan, or regional specialties), Japanese (sushi, hot kitchen, ramen, kaiseki techniques), Korean (traditional flavors, fermentation, grilling techniques), and Thai or Southeast Asian (balance of sweet, sour, spicy, and savory profiles). Essential skills include proficiency in Asian culinary fundamentals like wok cookery, stock and broth preparation, steaming, dumpling production, stir-fry techniques, as well as mastery over rice and noodle dishes and traditional seasoning profiles. The Asian Cuisine Cook should also be knowledgeable about current catering and culinary trends globally. This role involves working long hours on foot in environments with varying temperatures and requires flexibility to work different shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Moreover, the ability and willingness to travel and participate in multiple domestic and international events is highly valued.
This full-time position in Redondo Beach offers competitive compensation at $26.52 hourly and includes daily complimentary meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including 401K and medical benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage. DO & CO fosters a culture of innovation and creativity, providing genuine career development opportunities both nationally and internationally. Employees have the unique chance to collaborate and represent a leading force in the luxury global gourmet entertainment industry by attending world-class events. As an organization committed to diversity and inclusion, DO & CO offers equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability status, or any other protected characteristic.
