As a Cook at Aramark, you will play a vital role in bringing culinary creativity to life by preparing delicious, high-quality meals using fresh ingredients and state-of-the-art kitchen equipment. This position offers an hourly compensation rate of $22.84 and provides access to comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement savings plans such as 401(k), paid time off, and more, depending on location and eligibility. The cook role goes beyond basic food preparation, allowing you to experiment with various cuisines, flavors, and cooking methods while following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. You will be responsible for setting up workstations, measuring and preparing ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and ensuring proper food storage and presentation that meets Aramark's quality standards.

The role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, and extended standing, as well as the use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE). Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- Knowledge of food preparation principles and food safety regulations
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
- Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment when required
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
- Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- Ensures security of company assets
