Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience cooking for large groups or equivalent training and experience
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Must obtain Florida Food Managers Certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to lift and carry light objects less than 25 lbs
- Ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cold
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and follow safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience cooking for large groups or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen
- Florida Food Managers Certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days
Job Duties
- Plan, prepare, cook and serve nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules
- Ensure all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner
- Clean kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Adhere to physical requirements including lifting light objects less than 25 lbs
