Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience cooking for large groups or equivalent training and experience
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Must obtain Florida Food Managers Certification within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to lift and carry light objects less than 25 lbs
  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cold
  • Willingness to maintain cleanliness and follow safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience cooking for large groups or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen
  • Florida Food Managers Certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days

Job Duties

  • Plan, prepare, cook and serve nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules
  • Ensure all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner
  • Clean kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances
  • Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Adhere to physical requirements including lifting light objects less than 25 lbs
