Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Ability to reach up to seven feet
- Ability to bend and squat
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift in moderate to high noise levels
- Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and operate kitchen equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, holidays, events, and overtime as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months to 1-year previous experience in back-of-the-house food service position preferred
- Ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations
- Familiarity and experience with knife handling preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attentive and detail oriented
- Capable of following procedures and taking directions
- Basic math skills to understand and calculate recipe measurements and proportions
Job Duties
- Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
- Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained
- Store food correctly to maintain freshness
- Package all products to proper specifications
- Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on spoilage sheet
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory
