As a leading resort and golf destination, it offers a comprehensive experience characterized by luxury amenities and exceptional customer service. The resort is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment where team members are empowered to grow professionally and deliver top-tier service. It is located in the beautiful South Metro Denver, Colorado area, providing a scenic backdrop for residents and guests alike.
One of BlueStar Resort & Golf's most notable community endeavors is Lyric at RidgeGate, a vibrant and eclectic residential community developed by Shea Homes. Lyric at RidgeGate combines contemporary living with nature's tranquility, creating an energetic and inviting atmosphere. Residents and guests at Lyric can enjoy a host of amenities including a fitness center, coffee house, signature restaurant, and facilities for swimming, lounging, and socializing. This lively and modern community serves as a cultural hub, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal.
The Cook 4 position at Lyric at RidgeGate is a full-time role offering a competitive hourly wage of $22.00 to $24.00, along with a $500 new hire sign-on bonus payable after 90 days of employment. This role is integral to the Food and Beverage Team and reports directly to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef. The primary responsibilities include food preparation, cooking, station mastery, and ensuring the quality and presentation of meals meet the highest standards. The position also involves training and cross-training kitchen staff, assisting with menu development, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the kitchen.
This role demands versatility and leadership, as the Cook 4 is expected to lead kitchen services, manage ticket times efficiently, and respond positively to special orders or challenges. The cook must be proficient in all kitchen stations and capable of taking on responsibilities in the absence of the sous chef or kitchen manager. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a strong customer service focus are critical to success in this position.
In addition to the technical skills, BlueStar Resort & Golf values personal attributes such as a customer-oriented mindset, ability to work under pressure, multitasking capabilities, and strong team-building skills. The company places great emphasis on integrity, respect, teamwork, and a competitive spirit, which form the core values that every team member is expected to uphold.
Full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and life insurance beginning the first of the month after 60 days of full-time employment. They can also accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 120 hours per year and receive paid holidays totaling seven days annually. Additionally, employees aged 21 or older may participate in the company 401(k) plan after 30 days of service. Part-time employees are eligible to accrue paid sick leave per state guidelines.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced culinary professionals looking to advance their careers in a supportive and well-established hospitality environment. BlueStar Resort & Golf fosters a culture of continuous improvement and strives to create a workplace where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute positively to the guest experience.
