Job Requirements
- Ability to work varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- food safety knowledge
- previous experience in a leadership role preferred
- capability to adapt to fast-paced environments
- must adhere to Hyatt's standards and policies
Job Qualifications
- A genuine desire to provide thoughtful, high-quality food in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- minimum of 2 years previous culinary experience including working independently on the line
- strong knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
- ability to support and train junior team members
- culinary degree or hotel experience is a plus but not required
- dependable, punctual and able to maintain composure under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare and present elevated dishes with consistency and confidence
- support junior culinary colleagues and provide training as needed
- ensure high food quality and safety standards are maintained
- maintain an organized and efficient kitchen workspace especially during busy evening service
- perform strong knife work and sauce preparation
- assist in inventory management and kitchen cleanliness
- collaborate with the culinary team to execute menu and plating standards
