This opportunity is for a Cook 3 (Lead Line Cook) position within the Culinary team at Hyatt Centric The Woodlands. This role is essential to the evening kitchen operations, where the successful candidate will prepare and present elevated dishes with consistency and confidence. As a Lead Line Cook, the individual will support junior culinary staff, maintain high food quality standards, and ensure an organized and efficient kitchen amidst the demands of the busy PM service. The position demands exceptional culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a genuine desire to provide excellent food and service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Dependable and punctual with ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Culinary experience of at least 2 years including independent line work
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and knife skills
  • Ability to train and support junior staff
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role

Job Qualifications

  • Genuine desire to provide thoughtful, high-quality food in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • 2+ years of previous culinary experience including independent line work
  • Ability to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong knife skills, sauce work, and knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Ability to support and train junior team members
  • Culinary degree or hotel experience is a plus but not required
