Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, folding
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Effective communication skills including talking and hearing
- Sufficient visual acuity
- Follow company, club, and department policies and safety guidelines
- Commitment to professionalism and excellence in service
- Ability to work additional hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of kitchen experience
- Valid food handler certifications as required by state and city
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Experience in menu planning and recipe development
- Proficiency in advanced cooking techniques
Job Duties
- Responsible for set-up, execution of daily prep, and organization of your workstation
- Prepare and store food items necessary for your station
- Maintain proper cooking techniques and consistent presentation of dishes
- Prepare or assist in preparing complete meals including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts
- Receive and store goods purchased by kitchen
- Manage items used by others such as condiments and dressings
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and kitchen
- Assist in cleaning kitchen areas and inventory control
- Communicate with Executive or Sous Chef regarding food quality or product needs
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and product testing
- Prepare meals tailored to dietary needs or special events
- Take charge of a shift in absence of Sous Chef
- Supervise and instruct cooks and team members
- Oversee expediting process during meal periods
- Interact professionally with members and guests
- Support team environment and address complaints professionally
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management
