Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience as a line cook or similar food preparation role
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work 2nd shift hours including evenings
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
- ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- proficiency in food service
- experience as a line cook
- skill in food preparation and cooking
- ability to follow recipes
- experience in a food service environment
- experience in a hospital setting is a plus
Job Duties
- assemble all food and non-food items necessary for use during the shift
- cook and bake food for meal service according to the day’s menu ensuring quality assurance regarding appearance taste and temperature
- prepare menu items in accordance with forecasted or tallied quantities and follow established departmental recipes
- ensure food is prepared before customer service meetings before the meal
- document quantity and disposition of leftovers in accordance with departmental policy
- operate and maintain departmental equipment in a safe orderly and efficient manner
- maintain work areas and equipment in a clean neat organized and sanitary manner
