We are currently seeking enthusiastic, creative, and ambitious individuals to join the team at Pegasus Pizza, a distinctive culinary outlet within the Omni Dallas Hotel. This role of Line Cook is critical for the kitchen's operations, focusing on preparing diverse dishes, both hot and cold, across a variety of cuisines. This position offers an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals looking to refine and expand their cooking skills while contributing to a high-caliber food and beverage program known for excellence and innovation. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for operating at least one kitchen station such as sauté, grill, or garde manger, ensuring that all food items are prepared timely and meet the quality standards of the Omni Dallas Hotel. You will also be entrusted with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of your stations, managing requisitions, and communicating effectively with other shifts to maintain smooth kitchen operations. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability during nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of a bustling hotel environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of culinary experience preferred
  • Must have or obtain Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Flexible availability including nights weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of culinary experience preferred
  • Well-versed in operation of at least one culinary station
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen preparation knife skills sanitation and safety
  • Must have or obtain Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to remain active including standing for 8 plus hour per day
  • Flexible scheduling to include nights weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Preparing a variety of food items hot and cold for Pegasus Pizza within a timely manner prioritizing tasks as necessary
  • Operating at least one station within the kitchen saute grill garde manger others as assigned
  • Maintaining cleanliness of all hot and cold preparation stations and all surrounding culinary areas
  • Organizing and preparing both current and future requisitions
  • Effectively communicating relevant menu and dietary changes between all shifts
