The company prides itself on its dedication to the human side of hospitality, emphasizing passion, loyalty, and genuine connections with every guest. Employees at Sonesta are encouraged to thrive collectively, fostering a supportive work culture that aims to exceed guest expectations consistently.
The role of Cook 2 at Sonesta International Hotels is integral to the company’s mission to deliver exceptional service. The chosen candidate will be responsible for preparing and producing food orders that meet the company’s stringent quality standards. This position requires someone passionate about hospitality and devoted to superior guest service experiences. Serving in a fast-paced kitchen environment, the Cook 2 will ensure all meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and with high attention to detail. Given the nature of the hospitality industry, flexibility is key - this role involves working variable shifts including days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays, sometimes for ten to twelve-hour durations. Physical stamina is essential, as the position requires prolonged standing and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years cooking experience, preferably in restaurant or hotel food preparation, and a high school diploma or GED. Beyond culinary skills, excellent organizational abilities, time management, and effective communication are critical. This position offers a competitive pay range aligned with industry standards, accompanied by comprehensive benefits that support employee well-being.
