Joining the residence team at Four Seasons Private Residences Los Angeles provides a unique opportunity to shape and establish operating standards for standalone Four Seasons Private Residences. We seek team members who show agility and flexibility to deliver unparalleled service tailored to the unique needs of our homeowners.

In the role of Cook 2, you will oversee the daily operations of your kitchen station. You will assist in creating and preparing menu items, ensuring high quality and presentation standards while managing inventory and requisitions. Attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization are essential.

You will work closely with kitchen staff to maintain recipe and plating standards and foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Your culinary skills, including creating unique and flavorful specials, cost control, and adherence to safety and emergency procedures, will contribute to the overall success of our service excellence initiative. This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $31.20 and flexible schedules including early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends, making it ideal for those passionate about culinary arts and luxury hospitality.

Job Duties

  • Assist in creating and preparing menu items and specials
  • check and complete mise en place and pars and set-up the station
  • complete requisitions, obtain proper signatures and submit to the Purchasing department
  • communicate regarding menu items, problem situations or shortages
  • utilize the computer system in retrieving orders
  • work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation
  • maintain a good working relationship with other employees, providing instruction and encouragement as needed
  • store items properly at the end of the shift
  • ensure a clean, neat, and organized work area
  • handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor
  • conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels and encourage staff to do the same
  • respond appropriately to resident requests with respect to special meal preparation or substitutions
  • work alone in a busy environment
  • create unique, flavorful, and quality specials
  • cover the Cook I on days off and vacations
  • cost recipes
  • respond properly in any building emergency or safety situation
