Job Description

Invited is a distinguished leader in the hospitality and service industry, renowned for its dedication to building meaningful relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and employees. Established in 1957, Invited has grown to become the largest owner and operator of private clubs across the United States, managing over 130 country, city, and athletic clubs nationwide. These clubs provide an unparalleled array of first-class amenities including championship golf courses, modern workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, and comprehensive fitness centers. Invited’s commitment to excellence and inclusive culture fosters a vibrant community where employees and members alike thrive in an environment of mutual respect and continuous growth.

The Cook 2 position at Invited represents a crucial role within the culinary team, focusing on the preparation and organization of high-quality food while maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This role acts as a bridge between junior cooks and more experienced culinary leaders, such as Cook 3 or Sous Chef, ensuring smooth kitchen operations by supporting and coordinating daily food preparation tasks. Cook 2 members are entrusted with setting up and organizing their workstations effectively, preparing and storing food items properly, and employing advanced cooking techniques to ensure quality and presentation that aligns with Invited’s reputation for excellence.

In this role, the Cook 2 assists in a variety of culinary duties ranging from preparing complete meals—including soups, meats, desserts, salads, and baked goods—to managing inventory and cleaning kitchen areas. Additionally, the role involves interaction with members and guests, necessitating a professional and service-oriented approach to accommodate special requests and contribute positively to the overall dining experience. Cook 2 professionals may also take on supervisory responsibilities in the absence of senior cooks, guiding and instructing junior team members, and playing an active part in menu planning and recipe development.

This position requires a strong foundation in culinary techniques combined with a proactive attitude toward teamwork and service excellence. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills, a commitment to upholding safety and sanitation standards, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks. The Cook 2 role reflects Invited’s ethos of personal and professional growth, encouraging initiative and continuous learning to support not only individual success but also the success of the entire club community.

Joining Invited as a Cook 2 means becoming part of a dynamic, purpose-driven organization that values its people as the cornerstone of its enduring success. Employees have access to a supportive network, opportunities for career advancement, and the pride of contributing to a respected leader in private club hospitality. Those ready to embrace a challenging and rewarding culinary career, delivering top-tier cuisine in an exceptional environment, will find Invited a place where their skills and dedication make a tangible impact.
