The Cook role is fundamental to our kitchen operations. This position involves cooking, preparing, and packaging food products according to established operational and quality standards. The cook is expected to operate various kitchen stations, including the dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and food prep areas. Responsibilities include following company policies, performing sanitation duties, managing food safety protocols, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and compliant with hygiene standards. The role requires physical stamina to perform continuous standing, bending, stretching, lifting, and moving within a fast-paced restaurant setting. Additionally, the cook will need to handle irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to accommodating customer needs throughout the week.
Beyond food preparation, the cook will contribute to the overall customer experience by assisting with problem-solving, such as reporting any customer or employee complaints to the MOD promptly. The physical aspect of the job involves moving and stocking food products that may weigh up to 50 pounds. Job Duties
- Cook, prepare, and package food product pursuant to operational and quality standards
- Operate dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and food prep stations as assigned
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease pursuant to operational standards
- Regular attendance
- Report customer or employee complaints/issues to MOD
- Move and stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned or required
