The position reports directly to the Manager on Duty (MOD) and is classified as nonexempt. It requires working irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the business. The Cook operates various food preparation stations such as dressers, grills, and swamps, ensuring all tasks are performed with a high degree of precision and care. This role also requires employees to perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties following strict operational standards, promoting a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

In addition to cooking and preparation, the Cook is responsible for handling customer or employee issues by reporting them promptly to the MOD and managing food products, including moving and stocking items up to 50 pounds. This role demands effective verbal and written communication skills, basic math and reading capabilities, and the ability to follow directions accurately. The work environment is physically demanding, involving continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting, with frequent exposure to heat and hot liquids during cooking and occasional exposure to extreme weather when stocking food items.
