We are currently seeking a diligent and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential to maintaining the high standard of food quality our patrons expect, involving cooking, preparing, and packaging food products according to established recipes and operational protocols. Reporting directly to the Manager on Duty (MOD), the successful candidate will be responsible for operating various food prep stations such as the dresser, front swamp, back swamp, and grill. This position is nonexempt and involves irregular working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the ebb and flow typical of the restaurant industry.

The Cook will play a vital role in ensuring food safety and sanitation by regularly performing cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and utensils, sanitizing food preparation areas, and emptying used grease containers. Physical endurance is also essential, as the role involves moving and stocking food products weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to stand, bend, reach, stoop, and stretch continuously throughout shifts. Exposure to heat, hot liquids, and freezer conditions is common, making stamina and resilience crucial attributes for this position.

The Cook will also be required to report any employee or customer complaints and assist with additional job-related duties as assigned. Successful candidates will demonstrate basic math and reading skills, effective communication, and the ability to follow directions accurately while multitasking efficiently. Job Duties

  • Cook, prepare, and package food product pursuant to operational and quality standards

  • perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease pursuant to operational standards
  • maintain regular attendance
  • report customer or employee complaints or issues to MOD
  • move and stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned or required
