Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is established as the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, with its origins dating back to 1983 in Glendale, California. Boasting nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, the company has continually expanded while staying true to its mission of delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences. Panda prides itself on fostering an organizational culture inspired by family values, community involvement, and a commitment to helping people improve their lives. This deep-rooted emphasis on family and community, paired with high standards for food quality and service, has become the cornerstone of their success and reputation in the restaurant industry.
As a Cook at Panda, you are a vital member of the team and play a central leadership role in the kitchen. Working within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, the Cook is entrusted with bringing passion to every dish prepared while maintaining service excellence and creating an inviting atmosphere for guests. Your role encompasses not only the preparation of food consistent with company recipes and standards but also providing guidance and training to other kitchen team members. You will be responsible for all back-of-house duties, ensuring that operational efficiency, cleanliness, and safety protocols are upheld. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage directly in the heartbeat of the restaurant, contributing to both the customer experience and the wider success of the Panda brand.
This role demands a balance of passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic kitchen environment. Cooks at Panda work surrounded by motivating colleagues and are supported with hands-on training to succeed in their responsibilities. The position offers flexible schedules, competitive pay ranging from $26 to $29 per hour depending on experience and location, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support full-time associates. The work environment may require physical endurance, including standing for extended periods, precise knife skills, and the ability to handle kitchen equipment safely. If you appreciate a fast-paced setting that values your contribution, provides opportunities for growth, and prioritizes employee well-being, this role at Panda offers a rewarding career path with plenty of room for advancement and personal development.
