Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • On-the-job training in food preparation and sanitation techniques
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Teamwork skills
  • Customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Setting up and sanitizing workstations
  • Following prep lists created by chefs
  • Grilling, cooking, and frying foods
  • Grilling and garnishing hamburgers and other meats
  • Performing simple food preparation tasks, such as slicing up meats, fruits, and vegetables
  • Completing orders, plating the food, and processing in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible
  • Rotating food and stamping the time and date on the food in the coolers
  • Cleaning food preparation equipment and areas
