Job Description
This job opening is for a Cook position, which reports directly to the Manager on Duty (MOD). The role is centered on cooking, preparing, and packaging food products according to operational and quality standards to ensure a consistent and satisfying customer experience. This position is pivotal in maintaining the smooth functioning of the kitchen and ensuring all food items meet the company's standards for taste, presentation, and safety. The Cook will operate various kitchen stations including dressing, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and other food preparation areas as assigned. The individual will also be responsible for adhering to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards, which is crucial for maintaining an efficient and safe work environment.
The person hired for this position must perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties, such as disposing of trash, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, sanitizing food prep areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease. Regular attendance and reliability are important aspects of this position due to its continuous work nature. This role demands physical endurance since the work involves standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting within a restaurant setting. The station is also subject to exposure to heat, hot liquid shortenings used in cooking, freezing conditions when stocking food items, and occasional exposure to extreme temperatures influenced by varying weather conditions.
Additional duties include reporting any customer or employee complaints or issues to the Manager on Duty and moving and stocking food products weighing up to 50 pounds. The position entails working flexible schedules that may include irregular hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and days, requiring a flexible and adaptable approach to work hours. This role is an essential entry-level position within the restaurant industry, focusing on ensuring that food handling complies with sanitation and safety regulations, boosting back-of-house operations, and ultimately contributing to customer satisfaction and brand reputation.

Job Duties
- Cook, prepare, and package food product pursuant to operational and quality standards
