Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food within menu and dietary guidelines
  • Use kitchen utensils and equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, fryers, steamers, stove tops, and grills
  • Modify preparations to account for food allergies
  • Follow healthcare foodservice industry standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes
  • Avoid cross-contamination of foods and adhere to personal hygiene requirements
  • Maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
  • Perform washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas
