Job Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience in a line cook role
- Ability to work 50 hours per week with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic culinary skills including food preparation and cooking
- Knowledge of health and safety and sanitation standards
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years industry experience as a line cook
- Culinary school education or formal training is a plus
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food sanitation practices
- Ability to maintain quality and consistency under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients including chopping vegetables and portioning meats
- Cook food items on the line following established recipes and cooking methods
- Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation
- Coordinate timing with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery
- Keep workstation clean and organized and follow food safety procedures
- Comply with health and safety regulations including proper food handling and storage
- Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff including sous chefs and dishwashers
