Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in food preparation or related field
  • ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • physical capability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform repetitive motions
  • must have good attendance and punctuality
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
  • basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food handling
  • ability to understand and follow recipes without supervision

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment and food-handling procedures
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • good working knowledge of food preparation
  • familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards
  • follow recipes and product directions to prepare, season, cook, taste, carve, and serve soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items
  • taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records for planning production and requisitioning supplies and equipment
  • walk and stand for extended periods during shifts that may exceed 8 hours
  • reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
  • perform repetitive motions
  • attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with regularity
  • perform other duties as assigned depending on business needs and client requirements
