Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 to 2 years of experience in food preparation or related field
- ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- physical capability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- must have good attendance and punctuality
- ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
- basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food handling
- ability to understand and follow recipes without supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience
- knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment and food-handling procedures
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- good working knowledge of food preparation
- familiarity with kitchen equipment
- ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
Job Duties
- Prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards
- follow recipes and product directions to prepare, season, cook, taste, carve, and serve soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items
- taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records for planning production and requisitioning supplies and equipment
- walk and stand for extended periods during shifts that may exceed 8 hours
- reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- perform repetitive motions
- attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with regularity
- perform other duties as assigned depending on business needs and client requirements
