We are currently seeking a passionate and creative Cook to join our dynamic team. Your responsibilities will range from food preparation, following standardized recipes and safety guidelines, to managing your workstation with precision and care. The position demands adherence to high standards of food safety and sanitation practices to ensure the well-being of both customers and staff. You will engage in preparing, cooking, garnishing, and plating various dishes including meats, vegetables, and baked items using multiple cooking methods such as roasting, broiling, steaming, and baking.

Beyond food preparation, maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment is a crucial part of your role. You will be expected to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers safely and competently, as well as properly storing ingredients and finished products according to food safety policies. Excellent interpersonal skills are vital as you will interact positively with guests, clients, and co-workers, contributing to a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This role is physically engaging and may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking. It may also require the use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • must be able to acquire food safety certification

Job Duties

  • cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes

  • prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely uses a variety of utensils including knives

  • bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
  • properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
