Job Description

We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our kitchen team as food preparers and cooks. This role is perfect for candidates who are passionate about cooking and eager to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The position involves preparing a variety of food items using equipment such as flat top grills, char-broilers, cooktops, waffle bakers, Panini presses, and fryers. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of each dish served to our guests. You will adhere to standardized portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen policies to maintain excellence and efficiency.

In addition to food preparation, maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation is a key responsibility. This includes ensuring all cooking and refrigeration equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. The role also involves stocking line stations to support a smooth service period and assisting with food prep during less busy times. Closing duties include proper shutdown of kitchen operations and assisting with kitchen cleaning and maintenance, all under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.

Job Duties

  • Prepares a variety of food items utilizing flat top grills, char-broiler, cook top, waffle baker, Panini press and fryer
  • Assumes responsibility for quality of products prepared and served
  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies and procedures
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including all cooking equipment and refrigeration equipment
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
  • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Opens and closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Assists others in closing the kitchen
  • Assists in routine kitchen cleaning and maintenance
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
