HHM Hotels is currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join their culinary team. This full-time role offers a valuable opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about preparing delicious and high-quality food items in a safe and sanitary environment. The position involves following established recipes and standards, maintaining food safety, and contributing to the overall guest satisfaction through meticulous food preparation and presentation.
As a Cook at HHM Hotels, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen by preparing various food items according to recipes, ensuring the excellence and quality of cuisine are upheld at all times. Responsibilities include washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables, trimming and cleaning meat, preparing appetizers, salads, cold dishes, and cooking meats, fish, vegetables using techniques such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming. You will also handle baking breads, rolls, and other baked goods while ensuring proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food for server pickup or guest delivery.
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment is essential to the role, involving the regular cleaning of work areas including cutting boards and counters, securing and properly storing food items, and adhering to safe food handling procedures. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in HHM Hotels' sustainability efforts through their EarthView program, which emphasizes environmentally responsible practices. The role also demands awareness of guest satisfaction scores and a commitment to enhancing those levels through dedication and attention to detail in all kitchen tasks.
This role offers a clear growth path within the culinary department, starting from Lead Cook progressing to Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and further into the Food and Beverage Director position.
