The role of Cook is vital to our restaurant's success. The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and packaging food products to meet our operational and quality standards. This includes operating various kitchen stations such as the dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and food prep areas. The Cook ensures that all food items are prepared safely and efficiently while following company policies and procedures. Essential to the role are the cleaning and sanitation tasks, including disposing of trash, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and preparation tools, sanitizing preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and managing grease disposal to maintain a hygienic environment consistent with health regulations.
The Cook position demands regular attendance and reliability, alongside the ability to work irregular hours, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. This ensures our kitchen runs smoothly during peak times. Additional duties include reporting any customer or employee concerns promptly to the MOD and safely handling food products weighing up to 50 pounds. The role requires multitasking abilities and effective communication skills to coordinate efficiently with team members. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a restaurant or food preparation setting preferred
- ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand, bend, reach, move, stoop, stretch, and lift in a restaurant environment
- ability to lift and move food products weighing up to 50 pounds
- adherence to company policies and safety standards

Job Duties
- Cook, prepare, and package food product pursuant to operational and quality standards
- operate dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and food prep stations as assigned
- comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease
- maintain regular attendance
- report customer or employee complaints or issues to Manager on Duty
- move and stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds
- perform other job-related duties as assigned or required
