Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
  • Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team
  • Ability to handle conflict or customer complaints
  • Ability to multitask
  • Follows all food safety and equipment safety procedures
  • Compliance with community quality standards
  • Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff
  • Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures
  • Prepare high quality food and ensure proper presentation
  • Order, receive, and rotate stock with the Food Service Director
  • Follow recipes to ensure consistency
  • Prepare and serve food items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner
  • Assist with exceeding resident dining expectations
