Job Description

Our senior living community is part of The Pennant Group, Inc., a holding company encompassing various independent operating subsidiaries dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare services across the United States. These subsidiaries operate home health, hospice agencies, and senior living communities, each managed independently but aligned under the core mission of enhancing the lives of seniors with compassionate care and professionalism. This senior living community is committed to fostering an environment that supports its residents through exceptional services, innovative care approaches, and a team-oriented culture focused on respect and dignity for every individual.

Guided by the CAPLICO Core Values—including Celebration, Accountability, Passion for Learning, Love One Another, Intelligent Risk Taking, Customer Second (Employee First), and Ownership—this community places its employees at the heart of its success. The values reflect a deep commitment to creating a supportive workplace where team members can thrive, continuously learn, and contribute meaningfully to resident well-being.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our residents and staff enjoy timely, efficient, and friendly food service in a clean and safe environment. The Cook is responsible for maintaining high standards for food preparation and presentation, adhering to proper sanitation and safety procedures, as well as assisting with stock management in coordination with the Food Service Director. This position involves preparing and serving meals across different times of the day—breakfast, lunch, or dinner—while ensuring each dish meets our quality expectations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, staff, and team members. A willingness to learn new culinary techniques, especially with regard to the special dietary needs of senior residents, is essential. The Cook must be adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and must be dependable, punctual, and self-motivated, capable of working independently without constant supervision. A familiarity with short order cooking and quantity cooking methods will be highly valuable in this role.

In addition to the technical culinary skills, the role demands a team-oriented mindset, effective conflict resolution abilities, and adherence to all food safety and community quality standards. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and values-driven environment where employee well-being is prioritized alongside resident satisfaction.

This employment opportunity is equal opportunity in nature, welcoming qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. By joining our senior living community, you become part of a larger family dedicated to compassionate care and personal growth within a stable and reputable organization.
