Job Requirements

Minimum of one year cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to communicate effectively
Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques
Knowledge of special dietary needs
Ability to work effectively with a team
Ability to deal with conflict or customer complaints
Dependable, punctual, self-motivated
Ability to work without constant supervision
Follow all food safety and equipment safety procedures
Knowledge of community quality standards
Ability to short order cook

Job Qualifications

Minimum of one year of cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
Possess or willing to obtain Serv-Safe certification
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Awareness of special dietary needs of residents
Demonstrated teamwork and conflict resolution skills
Ability to multitask and work independently

Job Duties

Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to residents and staff
Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures in food preparation
Prepare and present high-quality meals following recipes
Order, receive, and rotate food stock in coordination with Food Service Director
Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, or dinner as assigned
Assist in meeting resident dining expectations
Adhere to food safety and equipment safety procedures
