Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
  • Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs
  • Ability to work effectively with a team
  • Ability to deal with conflict or customer complaints
  • Dependable, punctual, self-motivated
  • Ability to work without constant supervision
  • Follow all food safety and equipment safety procedures
  • Knowledge of community quality standards
  • Ability to short order cook

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
  • Possess or willing to obtain Serv-Safe certification
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and presentation
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Awareness of special dietary needs of residents
  • Demonstrated teamwork and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently

Job Duties

  • Ensure efficient, timely, and friendly service to residents and staff
  • Maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures in food preparation
  • Prepare and present high-quality meals following recipes
  • Order, receive, and rotate food stock in coordination with Food Service Director
  • Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, or dinner as assigned
  • Assist in meeting resident dining expectations
  • Adhere to food safety and equipment safety procedures
