The available position is for a part-time Cook at the Atrium Health University City location. This role offers a competitive pay range from $18.85 to $19.00 per hour and requires flexible availability, with varying shifts and open availability preferred. The position involves more than just food preparation; it is about being part of a team committed to quality, customer service, and reducing food waste. As a Cook at SodexoMagic, you will play a vital role in preparing and creating nutritious and appealing dishes that brighten the day of the customers served. The job duties include preparing a variety of hot and cold food items across different meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. You will be responsible for following recipes accurately, ensuring food quality, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and sometimes serving customers directly or managing specific food stations such as a grill.
This role demands a team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable individual who values a healthy and safe work environment. Previous experience in a related field is beneficial but is not strictly required, with the preferred experience range being between zero to two years. Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
- read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
- prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
