Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment and food-handling procedures
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • good working knowledge of food preparation
  • familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • ability to read and follow recipes unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with current federal, state and corporate standards
  • follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food items
  • taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records to plan accurately and requisition supplies and equipment
  • perform physical tasks including significant walking and standing for extended periods
  • reach, bend, stoop, push, pull and lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally 50 pounds
  • perform repetitive motions
  • attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time
  • perform other assigned duties based on business and client requirements
