Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a renowned family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept established in 1983 in Glendale, California. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Restaurant Group has grown to become the largest family-owned Asian dining experience provider in America. The company is deeply committed to delivering exceptional food and service while fostering an organizational culture that inspires its team members to enhance their lives. It embraces strong family values and actively contributes to the communities it serves, making it one of the most respected names in the restaurant industry.

At the heart of this growing enterprise are the Panda Cook associates, essential leaders who uphold the quality and spirit of the kitchen. As a Cook at Panda, you will play a vital role in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment where passion for food, dedication to excellent service, and pride in creating an inviting ambiance come together to define the guest experience. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team that values leadership, creativity, and a strong work ethic.

The role of the Cook involves preparing all dishes according to established company recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all Panda locations. You will also support the overall kitchen operations by guiding and assisting the kitchen team in their training. This hands-on leadership role allows you to contribute significantly to both the food preparation and the back-of-house responsibilities necessary for smooth kitchen operations.

In addition to food preparation, creating a vibrant and welcoming environment for guests is a fundamental aspect of this position. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, adhering to food safety regulations, and promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual respect among staff. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a bustling kitchen often characterized by hot conditions, noise, and limited workspace.

Panda offers competitive pay ranging from $21.70 to $24.70 per hour, depending on factors such as location and experience. The position is designed as a full-time role with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth and leadership development.

Panda Restaurant Group also values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing equitable opportunities to all employees regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or other protected characteristics. The company supports legal rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and ensures reasonable accommodations during the application and employment processes to promote an inclusive workplace.

If you are passionate about Asian cuisine, eager to develop your skills in a supportive and growth-oriented environment, and ready to be part of a dynamic team, the Panda Cook position offers an exciting career path. With flexible schedules, ongoing paid training, and opportunities to advance into management, Panda Restaurant Group invests in its associates’ professional and personal success, making it a great place to work and grow your hospitality career.
