Job Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
0 to 2 years of related work experience
Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Good working knowledge of food preparation
Requires familiarity with kitchen equipment
Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes over 8 hours
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
Ability to perform repetitive motions
Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Prepare food in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations
Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs
Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies and equipment
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation
Perform physical tasks such as walking, standing for long periods, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with regularity
Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
