Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good working knowledge of food preparation
  • Requires familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
  • Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, sometimes over 8 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment and food-handling procedures
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good working knowledge of food preparation
  • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations
  • Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation
  • Perform physical tasks such as walking, standing for long periods, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with regularity
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
