The role of Cook at HCS Head Start is integral to supporting the health and well-being of young children enrolled in their programs. This full-time position entails preparing healthy meals and snacks in compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations and other program requirements. Working collaboratively as part of a team, the Cook ensures that nutrition standards are met while catering to special dietary needs and preferences, including managing allergens as per Massachusetts allergen certification requirements. The position offers a competitive starting pay rate of $19.71 per hour, along with a generous $3,000 sign-on bonus for new hires. The Cook works 35 hours per week all year round, ensuring consistent support for the program’s meal service needs.
