Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a prestigious and well-established family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept that originated in Glendale, California, in 1983. Over the past four decades, Panda has grown significantly and now boasts close to 2,800 global locations, making it the largest family-owned Asian dining brand in the United States. As a visionary in the quick casual and Asian food segment, Panda emphasizes delivering exceptional dining experiences by integrating quality, taste, and service. The company prides itself on its family values, community involvement, and the development of an inclusive workplace culture where people are inspired to improve their lives and grow both personally and professionally.

The role of a Cook at Panda Restaurant Group is an integral and dynamic position within the kitchen team, playing a key role in driving the restaurant's success through food production and team leadership. Cook associates are recognized as important leaders of the team and the heart of the kitchen, tasked with generating food with passion, delivering service with heart, and creating an inviting ambiance with pride. This position offers a central role within a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment that encourages professional development and team collaboration.

As a Cook, you will be responsible for supporting a vibrant and welcoming environment for all guests, preparing dishes that strictly adhere to company recipes and quality standards, guiding kitchen team members, and assisting with their training to uphold the excellence of food production and kitchen operations. Additionally, the role requires performance of all back-of-house responsibilities involved in food preparation and kitchen care.

The employment type typically includes flexible scheduling conducive to a healthy work-life balance, while compensation offers competitive pay reflective of the skill and responsibilities required. The Cook role benefits from a supportive and inclusive workplace that invests in its employees' growth through hands-on paid training, ongoing leadership development, and opportunities for advancement into management positions. Panda Restaurant Group is committed to offering a diverse and equitable workplace, ensuring equal employment opportunities regardless of gender, race, age, disability, or other protected characteristics.

Working as a Cook at Panda means joining an organization that is proud of its impact on communities and values the contributions of each team member. The company fosters an environment that rewards hard work through a wide range of benefits including medical and dental coverage, 401K with company match, paid time off, associate discounts, referral bonuses, and more. Beyond the job itself, you will find a culture devoted to career growth and leadership development, making this role ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts, eager to lead, and enthusiastic about growing with a globally recognized brand committed to family values and exceptional service.
