With a strong focus on sustainability, community well-being, and employee development, Sodexo fosters an inclusive culture where every individual can thrive and contribute meaningfully to their work environment. The company values respect, fairness, and belonging, aiming to create a workplace where diversity is celebrated and every voice is heard. Sodexo also provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or other protected statuses, ensuring a supportive and respectful workplace.
The role of Cook at Sodexo, located in Browns Summit at the P&G site, is a full-time position offering $18 per hour. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality culinary experiences. As a Cook, you will be an essential part of the team responsible for preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items across all meal periods and events. You will adhere strictly to Sodexo’s culinary standards for quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring guests receive an exceptional dining experience every time. The role involves working varying shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, demanding flexibility and commitment.
In this role, your duties will not only focus on food preparation but also on maintaining a clean and organized workstation to uphold food safety and sanitation standards. You will be required to follow recipes and product directions accurately, taste dishes to ensure quality, and assist with planning food production by estimating requirements and maintaining records. Physical endurance and the ability to perform repetitive tasks are vital, as you may need to walk or stand for extended periods and lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Sodexo supports its employees by offering a flexible and supportive work environment, access to ongoing training and development opportunities, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans. Some locations may also provide additional site-specific perks like free shift meals, uniforms, and transportation support.
