The current opportunity available is for a Culinary Cook at Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill, a role that provides a vibrant environment for those passionate about culinary arts. The Cook will play a critical role in the food production processes for several outlets within the hotel including the kitchen, cafeteria, banquet areas, and fine dining establishments. Success in this role means consistently delivering high-quality food products while maintaining a highly sanitized and orderly kitchen environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in a professional kitchen environment and a genuine passion for food preparation and culinary innovation. The position requires strong organizational skills, an ability to work independently, and endurance to be on feet and handle physical demands such as lifting at least 50 pounds. Job Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Active food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain it
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift heavy items
- Ability to follow food safety guidelines
- Must be at least 21 years old

Job Duties
- Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté and fry)
- Use knives and various kitchen equipment
- Recreate recipes consistently
- Minimize food waste through cross utilization
- Work with the culinary leadership team to create menus
- Prepare ingredients including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
- Ensure proper storage of food and other items
- Maintain quality of ingredients
- Create workstations with needed ingredients and equipment
- Maintain adequate production level from kitchen staff
