Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Active food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain it
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capability to lift heavy items
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • Active food handler’s certification or ability to obtain it
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Energetic personality
  • Desire to exceed expectations
  • Ability to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
  • Ability to be on feet for long periods
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Minimum age of 21 years

Job Duties

  • Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté and fry)
  • Use knives and various kitchen equipment
  • Recreate recipes consistently
  • Minimize food waste through cross utilization
  • Work with the culinary leadership team to create menus
  • Prepare ingredients including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • Ensure proper storage of food and other items
  • Maintain quality of ingredients
  • Create workstations with needed ingredients and equipment
  • Maintain adequate production level from kitchen staff
