The role of a Cook at Red Lobster is essential in ensuring that every dish served meets the high standards of freshness, quality, and taste that guests expect. Cooks will be responsible for setting up and stocking prep and line stations, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas and equipment, and ensuring food safety regulations are strictly followed. They will prepare, season, and cook food in accordance with standardized recipes and portion control guidelines while inspecting all food preparation areas for cleanliness and safety. Cooks may also be called upon to assist or substitute for other kitchen positions during peak business times, highlighting the team-oriented culture embedded within the restaurant.

Physical requirements for the Cook position include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 60 pounds, as well as the stamina to remain standing for 8 to 12-hour shifts and move around the restaurant as needed. Prior culinary experience is preferred but not mandatory, and the company values individuals who demonstrate attention to detail, multitasking capabilities, and a strong team-player mentality.
