As a Cook at Red Lobster, you will play a critical role in ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and maintains the highest standards for food preparation and safety. This full-time position involves setting up and stocking prep and line stations at the start of shifts, maintaining cleanliness by sanitizing and organizing kitchen areas and tools, and verifying the quality of ingredients used. You will prepare, season, and cook food according to specific recipes, quantity requirements, and portion control systems, ensuring consistency and customer satisfaction. The role also requires inspecting food preparation and serving areas to uphold sanitary practices and substituting for or assisting other kitchen staff during busy periods. Job Duties

  • Setting up and stocking prep and line stations
  • cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils
  • checking the quality and freshness of ingredients
  • prepping, seasoning, and cooking food according to recipes, quantity calls, and specification while maintaining portion control systems
  • inspecting food preparation and serving areas, tools, and equipment to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
  • substituting for or assisting other cooks and kitchen positions during peak business periods
