Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain specializing in seafood with over fifty years of history. It began as a single restaurant with a vision to connect people to seafood and coastal dining experiences, growing into a vibrant network of more than 500 locations nationwide. Red Lobster takes pride in offering a unique dining atmosphere where guests enjoy memorable meals and moments, emphasizing community connection and hospitality. The company values its employees and provides a welcoming workplace for everyone regardless of age, race, gender, religion, disability, or veteran status, reinforcing its commitment to equal employment opportunities.

As a part of the Red Lobster team, you join a dynamic and fast-paced environment where offering exceptional food and service is paramount. The Cook role is essential to maintaining the high standards and quality guests expect. This position entails preparing seafood and other menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and portion control guidelines. A Cook is responsible for setting up and stocking prep and line stations, cleaning and organizing kitchen spaces, and ensuring the freshness and safety of ingredients used. The individual will also check on food preparation and serving areas for compliance with food handling practices, assist or substitute for other kitchen staff during busy periods, and perform tasks that uphold the restaurant's operational excellence.

Red Lobster provides competitive wages with weekly pay and offers flexible scheduling options tailored to meet employee needs. Health benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance start at affordable rates. Additionally, employees are eligible for life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match after one year of service. Anniversary pay and discounted meal options contribute to a rewarding work experience. Career growth is fostered through comprehensive training and advancement opportunities, making Red Lobster not just a place to work but a place to build a career in the hospitality and food service industry.

The physical demands for this position require the ability to lift up to 60 pounds safely, stand for extended periods typically ranging between 8 to 12 hours, and perform tasks involving bending, reaching, and stooping. Being a team player with attention to detail and a capacity to multitask are important traits for success in this role. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and hospitality to join a reputable company with ambitious growth plans. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a family committed to delivering quality and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace environment.
