- Knowledge of safe cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Experience with therapeutic diet meal preparation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to follow healthcare foodservice guidelines
Job Duties
- Prepares and serves food according to menu and dietary requirements
- Uses required kitchen utensils and equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, fryers, steamers, stove tops, and grills
- Modifies food preparation to accommodate food allergies and therapeutic diets
- Adheres to healthcare foodservice industry standards and regulations including monitoring food temperatures and avoiding cross-contamination
- Maintains proper labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
- Performs washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas
