Job Description

This position offers 12-hour shifts from 6am to 6pm, providing a structured and consistent work schedule for employees. The starting wage ranges from $13.50 to $14.50 per hour, with an additional pay increase of 10 cents per year of experience, up to a maximum of 10 years. This ensures that experienced staff are rewarded appropriately for their expertise and dedication. The role is primarily focused on preparing and serving palatable, nourishing, and well-balanced diets designed to satisfy the daily nutritional and special dietary requirements of each resident. This involves careful meal preparation that complies with safe food handling standards, ensuring that all meals served support the health and well-being of residents. In addition to cooking duties, employees will assist with dishwashing operations and general cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment. While previous experience in long-term care dietary cooking is preferred, candidates must possess a safe food handling certification to be considered for the role. This foundational knowledge contributes to the safety and quality of food service provided to residents.
