The position of Cook at Ellicott Center presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of residents by ensuring the preparation and service of nutritious and appealing meals. Available in both full-time and part-time capacities, the role requires culinary expertise tailored to large-scale and therapeutic food preparation, with a particular focus on maintaining dietary standards suited to the healthcare environment. The Cook will engage in a variety of food preparation activities including baking various breads, desserts, and maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen. This role is integral to the smooth operation of meal services within the skilled nursing facility, including participation on the tray line and management responsibilities in the absence of the Food Service Director. Ideal candidates will possess relevant certification in healthcare cooking such as ServSafe or Sodexo, a minimum of one year of experience in large-scale cooking, and excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Job Requirements
