Job Description

Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken is a chef-owned eatery located in Chicago, renowned for its hand-crafted artisan donuts, flavorful chicken sandwiches, and freshly scrambled breakfast sandwiches. This restaurant prides itself on offering high-quality, ethically sourced products, including the popular Dark Matter Coffee, which is both ethically sourced and roasted in Chicago. The establishment's culinary philosophy revolves around three primary principles: everything is made in-house, produced in small batches, and kept fresh throughout the day. This dedication to quality and freshness distinguishes Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken as a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike.

At Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken, the commitment goes beyond food quality. The company values its people highly, focusing on treating both guests and staff with respect and care. As an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE), the business emphasizes diversity and inclusivity within its workforce. Participating in the E-Verify program further assures compliance with employment eligibility requirements.

The current opportunity at Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken is for Sandwich Makers and Cooks who will play an essential role in the preparation, production, and presentation of all menu items. Working within a confined kitchen space that can be busy, noisy, and subject to temperature fluctuations, you must be comfortable performing tasks while standing or walking for the duration of your shift. Further physical demands include the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. Communication skills are vital to ensure smooth operations, including reporting any food delays or issues promptly and accommodating special dietary restrictions or allergy procedures.

The role demands teamwork and a positive work ethic, as employees must get along well with others and follow all restaurant policies and safety guidelines. It offers career growth opportunities and comes with several benefits such as health insurance options including BCBS and dental coverage, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and restaurant discounts. If you are someone who enjoys a fast-paced culinary environment and values fresh, high-quality food preparation, this is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving Chicago chef-owned restaurant that champions craftsmanship and community values.
