Job Description

American Golf is a renowned leader in golf hospitality, dedicated to enhancing the golfing experience and enriching the communities that surround it. With a strong emphasis on operational excellence and a deep understanding of club culture, American Golf has established itself as a trustworthy partner for golf courses and clubs nationwide. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional service, meticulous course care, and creating inviting atmospheres that encourage community connection and enjoyment. Golf, as American Golf sees it, transcends the realm of being merely a sport; it is a cherished tradition and a social hub where relationships bloom and memories are made.

Knollwood Country Club, located at 12040 Balboa Boulevard in Granada Hills, CA, is part of the American Golf family. Known for its beautiful landscapes and top-notch facilities, Knollwood Country Club offers members and guests a premium golf environment complemented by superb dining and social amenities. It is set in a picturesque location that supports a vibrant community of golf enthusiasts and families.

The role of Cook at Knollwood Country Club is vital in delivering the overall experience members and guests expect. This position involves preparing food that meets specified menu standards and delivers consistent, high-quality dishes. The successful candidate will be a skilled multitasker, comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment, and adept at following detailed instructions to produce delicious meals that delight every patron. Working here offers the chance to be part of a team that values not only culinary skills but also the ability to contribute to a welcoming and memorable hospitality atmosphere.

As a Cook, you will operate primarily in the kitchen environment, leveraging your culinary knowledge and efficiency to season, prepare, and plate meals according to standardized recipes and customer specifications. The job requires attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and safety, ensuring every plate served lives up to the club’s high standards. Beyond the technical aspects of cooking, the role also demands a commitment to sanitation, quality control, and communication with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a reputable hospitality organization known for its commitment to employee development and community involvement. While previous cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen is recommended, what is most important is a passion for cooking, a dedication to excellence, and the ability to thrive in a cooperative team environment. Whether you are looking to advance your culinary career or bring your skills to a respected golf hospitality setting, this role promises a rewarding and engaging workplace experience.
